I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Psalm 16:8

Jesus keenly focused on and stuck to His purpose throughout His entire life. He never wavered in His mission to wipe our slate clean by going to the cross on our behalf. While he had every reason to get very frustrated with humanity, He did not turn away.

If Jesus never gave up on us, who are we to give up on one another?

Here are three things on my mind today as I reflect upon Jesus’ “stick-to-it-iveness”:

  1. No one is perfect — in fact, we are all far from it. As long as you see positive effort and intent, stick with your team members and help them to achieve their God-given potential.

  1. Offer forgiveness. It changes the game. Wiping the slate clean for team members will build relationships and advance their performance.

  1. Don’t give in to doubt. “Keep your eyes on the Lord” and find a better way to achieve your desired outcome. With God at your side, all things are possible!

Consider what these lessons from Jesus’ life mean for you. Who may need your attention? Your forgiveness? Where might you have given up too soon?

I’m making my list right now.

Will you join me?

Blessings,

Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.
